Tank House Revamping

In 2009, a leading multinational copper producer with an annual capacity of 35,000 tons faced a critical challenge: the comprehensive replacement of its tank house, installing a new one of the same capacity. This company relied on Gecsa to carry out a turnkey replacement project for everything related to high-intensity conductors.

Goal:

The main objective of this project was the comprehensive replacement of its tank house with a new one of the same capacity, allowing the company to maintain and improve its copper production efficiently.

Scope of Gecsa's Project:

Gecsa took on the challenge and led a turnkey project in everything related to the bus bar. The core of this solution was the installation of a new 70-meter-long copper bus bar. But Gecsa's scope was not limited solely to the bus bar; the project also included the implementation of all equipotential bars, end cell bars, risers, and crossover bars necessary for copper production through the electrolytic process.

Results and Current Status:

The replacement project carried out by Gecsa was a resounding success. The multinational copper producer was able to comprehensively renew its tank house, allowing it to maintain its production at optimal levels.

Currently, Gecsa maintains a solid relationship with this company through the supply of spare parts, demonstrating ongoing trust in the quality and service provided.

This success story is a testament to Gecsa's commitment to offering turnkey solutions that turn challenges into opportunities for the growth and efficiency of its clients.
